Unfortunately all of my work has to be done inside. Mostly because the human cells I grow for my experiments have to be grown in a completely germ-free environment – so we use special cabinets to grow these in. They wouldn’t work very well outside! Also I use quite a lot of dangerous chemicals, and we have to dispose of these in special ways to make sure that they don’t cause harm to the environment, so working outside – I couldn’t make sure that this would happen.
Outstanding outdoors, but unfortunately all of my work is done inside the lab 🙁 I do get the chance to go out and about on trips with colleagues in the graduate school though, doing things like powerboat driving, scuba diving and white water rafting!
