      Hi Lauren,

Thanks for your question – it’s a good one. I’m at the very beginning of my career as a cancer research scientist as I only gained my PhD (a qualification which trains people to be research scientists) a year ago. I hope that my work will contribute to finding better treatments for cancer, but I am part of a big team of many thousands of cancer researchers worldwide. It’s important that we work as a big team, talk about our results and work together in everything we do. Historically, big breakthroughs in cancer treatment haven’t been made by one person, but by massive teams involving people from all over the world. I hope to be a part of this massive team effort.
