      This is more a question for another Zone. It is related to Physics. In Biology Our eyes can detect photons of certain property. We have photoreceptor cells in our eyes. In order to “see” protons, more then one proton must be detected from a photoreceptor cell. We know the genes that encode the proteins that detect photons in the photoreceptor cells.
