Question: how do you know that the amount of the stomato change in the plant?

Great question! You obviously already think like a scientist.

But unfortunately a boring answer to follow. We don’t know how many to change. We know what genes make a stomata, so we can turn them off and turn them on, but we never know exactly how many the plants will make.

We count them after and see what effects they have to see if we like the changes we take those plants forward for more testing!
