yes, specially during chatting with many students at the same time. It is really challenging to answer all questions, this is why there is the ask button on this system.
Sometimes it can be, but I would say that this is true of any job. The times when it is most stressful is when you spend a long time doing an experiment and it doesn’t work!
It’s usually not that stressful, because I have a lot of control over what work I do and when.
Having said that, there are times when lots of deadlines hit at once, and I realise I haven’t done enough work to prepare. These things happen in most jobs, but are still stressful.
Yes, it can be stressful being a scientist. It can be very frustrating when experiments aren’t working and you have to try and keep calm so that you can work out what the problem is. I think any job can be stressful though as Marlene says. I wouldn’t say that my job is any more stressful than that of my non-scientist friends.
