      teaching at the university, running a laboratory, manage a research consortium, this sort of things.

      Mostly work in the lab, do some teaching of undergraduate students, a bit of writing here and there, go to conferences to present and attend courses.

      I spend most of my time in the lab doing experiments, but I also mentor PhD or masters students, write up my results on the computer and attend lots of meetings with my boss to come up with new experiments. I also occasionally have to write applciations to charities for more money to continue our research.
