I study immunology. I am interested in many aspects of immunology. For example I try to understand how the immune system has developed. Humans have an immune system. It is different in some ways from the fish immune system but similar in other ways. When we then look into insects it is very different from us but the type of the immune system insects have we also have.
So there are at least two layers, one that is very old (and is present in insects and us) and one that is newer (that is present in fish and us). So reading about this and to analyse genes in order to see how they change is fascinating.
