Wow, quite a deep question! My research focuses on how Atlantic salmon prepare themselves for migration to the sea using daylength as a cue. In life I would like to have an interesting and varied career in the field of marine science and also travel a good bit of the world. And, as with most people, my main motive is happiness!

answer 1: I am an immunologist and as an immunologist I of course find Immunology the most interesting discipline in biology. You can start reading about it and I am sure you will agree if you do not give up early.
answer 2: I really like to understand complex systems and I try to be better then computer programs.

      Hello,
I specialise in the biology and genetics of cancer. I mainly find out why people get cancer in the first place, but then try to use this information to come up with better ways to treat them, or hopefully in the future, prevent people from getting cancer in the first place. My motive for doing this job is quite simple, I had cancer when I was younger and know what it’s like to go through a diagnosis and treatment for it. I lost a lot of friends to leukaemia on the ward, and so I now research leukaemia to hopefully try and save lives in the future. In life, as Marlene said – I would just like to be happy and explore the world. I love travelling and have been to quite a few places around the world already – but there is so much more I would like to explore. My philosophy is: What’s the point of living in a world so big, if you only see a tiny bit of it?
