I would have to say Manganese (Mn) for some poor reasons
      1) I like to say it
      2) in the lab the chemical we have with Mn in is pink.

Obviously it is also important in loads of things, like plants!

I would have to say mine is Strontium, which is a metal which you won’t encounter very much outside of your science lab in comparison to more common metals that everyone has heard of like iron and copper. I don’t get to use it much in my lab sadly, but I like it because when you set fire to it (do not try this at home), it glows a fantastic red colour. The best way for you to see this (and you probably already have) is to go to a firework display…the fireworks that explode and are red are due to tiny pieces of strontium being on fire!

Hydrogen, it is the simplest atom we know. Combined with oxygen it becomes water. In biochemistry may be the most frequent atom we come across. It is worth to learn about hydrogen. Once you understand hydrogen it is easier to understand the more complicated atoms.

Magnesium, simply because it glows really brightly when you heat it. It’s pretty cool 🙂

I haven’t done any chemistry for years, but I’m going to say Einsteinium. I like the names of the elements at the end of the table, and most of them don’t occur naturally on earth and are only ever seen as the result of nuclear reactions. They’re called ‘synthetic elements’ and I find it pretty cool that we can create things that don’t normally exist in nature!
