I think a lot of jobs are important, such as doctors, policemen, teachers, engineers and cleaners, all for different reasons. The job of a scientist is important because we aim to find out new things that no one else has discovered before. We need to keep learning more about the world around us to know how to look after it, and look after ourselves. As the world keeps changing all the time, we need to keep researching!
