• Question: would you ever think of being a science teacher?

      Yes, I really like teaching students. I mostly teach university students, but I would definitely consider teaching younger students too.

      I like to participate in teaching at the university and also in so called public engagement projects. We run in our research group an activity called the “worm wagon”. You can look up more here (http://www.mig.ls.manchester.ac.uk/impact/). This is for school children. They really enjoy this, and we do too.

      I help out in some lab classes at the university, but I don’t think I could be a teacher full time, very hard job!

      I thought very seriously about it a few years ago, but have ended up doing other things for work instead. I’d definitely consider being a science teacher later in life though.
